Three beats. One table.

01 · The fire

A fire worth carrying

Raised by his grandfather Aoki Taro, Yoko grew up around an old griddle and the stories nobody wanted to repeat. Taro was once one of the nation’s greatest teppanyaki chefs, but a competition betrayal left him with a second-place record and a first-place wound. Yoko set out to find the truth.

“The fire can be loud. Your heart cannot.”

— Aoki Taro

Irihama · The old iron house

Before the city lights,
there was one old grill.

Yoko grew up in the fictional coastal village of Irihama with his grandfather Aoki Taro. The house was modest, the garden was real, and the first lesson was simple: a good cook makes room for people.

“See the people at the table before you look at the fire.”— Aoki Taro

Yoko at YOKOSO

A world around the food—not over it.

Yoko helps shape the entrance, photo moments, social storytelling, limited drops, and table details. The chef, the food, and the guest always lead. Yoko is the warm thread that makes the whole experience feel connected.

Yoko is an original fictional adult character. He is never a ninja, a weapon hero, or a children’s mascot.
